Atty. Bruce Rivera took his Facebook account and addressed his open letter to Philip Jr. Lustre who recently called President Rodrigo Duterte "sick old man from the south."
Atty. Rivera corrected the misconceptions of Lustre that Duterte is trying to control the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).
"And who ever told you the President does not have some control over the BSP and AMLC? The Monetary Board which charts the financial policies of the Philippines has presidential representation by way of the Secretary of the DOF."
Atty. Rivera corrected the misconceptions of Lustre that Duterte is trying to control the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC).

"Dear Sir,
Let me say this with the best of intentions. The BSP (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas) is just the official name and the Tagalog translation of Central Bank of the Philippines. When talking to a foreign investor, you think it is more practical to say Bangko Sentral than Central Bank or you just like to put malice into the words of our president? Yan ang hirap sa inyong mga punyetang dilawan, para kayong mga sabik. Hanap kayo ng hanap ng butas, may masabi lang.
And who ever told you the President does not have some control over the BSP and AMLC? The Monetary Board which charts the financial policies of the Philippines has presidential representation by way of the Secretary of the DOF.
But in this instance, almost all the members of the Monetary Board are appointees of the past administration with fixed terms. So unless sasabihin mo na si PRRD ang nag-appoint nyan lahat, how can you say there is illegal intervention.
And bakit kayong mga dilawan, hilig hilig ninyo calling him names like "sick old man from the south", "psychopath", Dastardley Duterte, "Bobotante". Yan ba ang disente?
