Kimstore is considered as one of the first and top online shop for gadgets in the Philippines. The online shop also offered cheaper gadgets for their customers.
But many Netizens were alarmed after Bureau of Customs seized millions of pesos of ‘smuggled’ gadgets in their building in Lakandula St. Tondo, Manila.
According to Customs Spokesperson Niel Anthony Estrella, they got an intelligence report that Kimstore is selling imported gadgets so they conducted a raid to look if they are selling smuggled things.

The owner of Kim Store identified in his alias, Francis didn’t faced the authorities and the caretaker of the building didn’t presented any importation documents to the BOC.
Some reports also said that a businesswoman named Kim Lato founded the online shop.
BOC is still trying to trace the real owners of the online shop according to Customs Intelligence and Investigation officer Joel Pinawin, team leader of the CIIS operating unit.
The building where the seized smuggled gadgets is now closed and guarded by CIIS agents.
Kimstore is not yet giving any statement as of today.
