Former President Benigno Aquino III may be put behind bars if Former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile would became a government lawyer that will investigate the slaughter of 44 members of Philippine National Police Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) at Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
According to Enrile, he can slapped Aquino with a crime of treason for not doing anything against the Moro Islamic Liberation Front who allegedly killed the PNP-SAF members which considered as an enemy of the Republic.
Enrile even expected that Aquino will be able to answer his questions when he gave a chance to interrogate the former President.
The Army and Air Force who did not help the fallen 44 can also face court martial proceedings.
The former Senate President also said that the President knew the operation because he was also in Mindanao at that time.
He also believed that Aquino may changed the fate of the SAF44 if he ordered the Armed Forces to assist the victims.
Aquino may also be accountable for allowing the former PNP Director General Alan Purisima for managing the operation even he was already suspended.
Juan Ponce Enrile, a veteran lawyer was a protégé of former President Ferdinand Marcos. He became the Justice Secretary and then Defense Minister under Marcos Regime.
