President Rodrigo Duterte is set to visit Bicol Region Tuesday to lead the distribution of relief goods to the victims of the Typhoon Nina.
Bicol Region was one of the places in the Philippines that greatly affected by the Typhoon that struck in the country on Christmas Eve. Many houses were destroyed, but the casualty were significantly reduced because of the effort of the administration to evacuate all the residence of the affected areas immediately.
Department of Social Welfare and Development also giving hourly updates about the victims of Typhoon Nina and relief operations.
DSWD also announced it will provide P206.36 million in augmentation assistance to 27 local government units hit by Typhoon “Nina.”
According to Politko, from Davao, Duterte will head to Catanduanes and Camarines Sur in the afternoon to give aid to the victims of the typhoon.
Vice President Leni Robredo, while in a vacation in United States said that they already working to help the victims of the Typhoon in her baluarte.
