The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) under the leadership of Sec. Mark Villar worked day and night in the clearing operations since December 25 in the Bagyong Nina affected areas but nobody from the mainstream media mentioned their efforts on national TV and print media.
Sec. Mark Villar posted on his Facebook Page that the agency has conducted clearing operations 24/7 since December 25, 2016. The statement of the DPWH head coincides with the viral FB post made by Mayor Noel Rosal of Legazpi, Albay who lauded the agency's efforts in the clearing operations in affected areas.
According to the DPWH Secretary, as of December 29, 2016 all national roads and bridges in the typhoon affected areas are now cleared except for the two bridges in Cagayan Valley Region which is not passable due to high water level.
The DPWH Secretary who is often accused by the supporters of the previous administration tirelessly made so much efforts to do his task which was entrusted to him by Philippine Pres. Rody Duterte.
Netizens were quick to the react with the speed of the clearing operations conducted by the national government headed by the DPWH and the various sectors of the communities as well as the LGU's of the affected areas for the fast recovery which allowed speedy movement of relief efforts to affected areas.
