Two of the country's most notable lawmakers, Senators Miguel Zubiri and the controversial Sonny Trillanes almost came to blows on the senate floor over a heated exchange regarding the investigation on Jack Lam.
Based on the video presented below, the trouble started after Sen. Trillanes accused Senators Zubiri and Richard Gordon of trying to whitewash the investigation on the bribery issue concerning the BOC.
Sen. Migz Zubiri took the floor to answer the allegations thrown at him and Sen. Gordon about the controversial Jack Lam issue. The senator pointed to other bills and resolutions pertaining to the reorganization and reform of the Bureau of Immigration.

The BOC issue involving Jack Lam, which were referred to the Committee on Justice, was accused by Sen. Trillanes of an alleged whitewash.
The issue raised by Sen. Zubiri was supposed to be responded by Sen. Trillanes, the one who accused Sen. Zubiri but instead of engaging his fellow senator on the merits of accusations, Sen. Trilanes responded by calling Sen. Zubiri a "Cheater" and brought out the issue of the electoral case filed by Sen. Koko Pimentel in connection with the 2007 elections.
Sen. Trillanes also threatened Sen. Zubiri, saying that if he "Wanted war, then he should prepare for war." Sen. Zubiri felt insulted and responded by calling Sen. Trillanes a "Rebel" and accused him of falsely claiming that Pres. Duterte had 2 billion pesos in his bank account.
This is the point where things almost turned violent if not for the intervention of cooler heads, including Senator and boxing champ Manny Pacquiao who stepped in to stop the fight.
